Winter Brown: Winter stumbled into a small Seattle yoga studio in 2002 and immediately enjoyed being reconnected to her body. She practiced ballet for 12 years while growing up, and she missed the feeling of moving purposefully. Yoga excites her: it has numerous benefits for well-being but is also an intelligent and contemplative practice when anatomy, the Yoga Sutras, and Buddhist dharma are entwined. Her enthusiasm feeds her desire to nurture moving meditations on our selves and our relationships to other beings in her yoga classes. She has been teaching vinyasa yoga since January 2009 and received her certification from OM Yoga. Her classes have been described as a genuine and playful environment in which her students can deepen their practice by thoughtfully exploring alignment, precision, and mindful awareness.
