Dr. Bell will look at the 4 most common injuries attributed to your yoga practice, consider alternative ways to approach the poses that may cause injury, and look at ways to heal in the unfortunate cases of injury. This workshop is appropriate for all yoga students, teachers in training, and yoga instructors looking for ways to help their students.(Not appropriate for those with acute injury)
Baxter Bell, MD, RYT500 teaches in the US and abroad, leading classes, workshops and retreats with a focus on both traditional Hatha yoga, as well as therapeutic uses of yoga for health and illness. He is also the co-director of the Piedmont Yoga Studio's Deep Yoga Program, as well as a faculty member of numerous programs in NorthernCA and across the US. Baxter also maintains a complementary medical practice with a focus on medical acupuncture and therapeutic yoga. His students appreciate his clarity of instruction and his playful approach to yoga.
