This introduction series is designed for the “brand new” student. Learn proper yoga practice methods and techniques in a safe, fun and supportive environment. The benefits of a regular yoga practice include: flexibility, strength, increased range of motion, peace of mind, and increased energy.
Cost: $104 for all 8 sessions – or, you may drop-in to the first class for $14.

Who is it for? This program is designed for the brand-new, ground-zero beginner.It is for people who have heard that yoga would be good for them, but have had very little if any contact with yoga or a yoga class.It’s for the person too stiff to jump into a “regular” beginner class.It is for the person who knows they need to do something – but “going to a gym” or starting another “fitness regime” hasn’t worked yet.It’s for the person ready to try something new that they can sustain over the long-term. How is it structured? This program meets once a week for 8-weeks.The instruction is very basic yet thorough and covers the foundations of what a person would need to know to begin a safe and sane yoga practice. What is covered in the 8-weeks? During the 8-weeks the student will learn the basic fundamental principles such as breath-awareness, the proper way to enter and exit a pose so as not to injure one’s self.The proper use of props in order to aid in finding ease and release in the poses.How to protect the your back, knees, shoulders and neck from strain and injury in a yoga practice. What poses will be taught during the 8-week program? In addition to the poses above, each student will learn techniques and practices for breath awareness and how to begin a simple meditation practice to help relax the mind and relieve stress. What is recommended after a person completes the Introduction to Yoga Program? Once a student completes the Introduction to Yoga then they are totally welcome to participate in any Beginner’s Yogaclasses.Or, some people feel it valuable to repeat the Introduction to Yoga series.It is entirely up to you.
